Mike Stratton | Version 1.2
This page is meant to point out the discrimination Mike Stratton has
dealt with in regards to his mental illness. Mike Stratton is trying to
reach society so that they might give him the option to be human, and
not a monster. Please give Mike Stratton this chance by at the very
least letting him do some volunteer web development work for you.
Mike Stratton also
feels he is making a stand for all that have dealt with discrimination
on some level. Mike Stratton is simply mocking societies view on this
page, although his work has shown he is more then just their view. Mike
Stratton feels the current way of trying to stop discrimination is
useless, and is trying other ways to fight it. Mike Stratton really
believes that his views are helping a cause and really has nothing to do
with him. He is allowing himself to be a scapegoat, so that he might
fight discrimination.
At the same time Mike Stratton is allowing himself creativity in
dealing with the feelings society has shown him in regards to his mental
illness. This maybe Mike Stratton's perception, but he has actual
evidence of this being fact, and is willing to share the several hundred
stories of the discrimination he has dealt with to all that might want
to listen. The very fact that Mike Stratton shares these stories puts
him in turmoil with the same people that have displayed discrimination,
as no one wants to be associated with mental illness.
Like it or not, Mike Stratton is only human.
Who
Is He, Really? (As Seen by Society)
Mike Stratton is a nobody. He has nothing to offer but negativity and
depravation from society. On a day to day basis he thinks of nothing but
himself and what he can do to make his life and his life only)better.
Although Mike Stratton has had a few substantial accomplishments, (and
has tried to "do something good" for many people, he still is nothing more
then a flawed entity that drains all that might come in his path. It
really is all about him. He thinks that he his drive for success is
fueled by a noble cause, and that all that try and encounter his
"Holier Than Thou" beliefs are sure to be touched by God. He
feels he has the wisdom of a prophet. He believes that, if only society and
humanity in general would only listen to this "wisdom" all would be
wonderful, in this sin-filled, and Evil Earth. Who is he really?
Mike Stratton is Mike Stratton, and he really is just a human being.
It is completely open and accepted to call Mike Stratton "crazy" as it is a term in the English
Dictionary, and the term "crazy" is accepted
by society as being an appropriate term when referencing
a person or a condition.
Mentally Ill people hate mental illness more then
society does, unfortunately we do not have a choice in being "crazy".
Mike Stratton also has another medical condition other then
mental illness as he has heart disease, but he has
never worried about some one calling him a
"heart attack".
Who is he, Really? (As Seen by Himself)
Ask
Mike Stratton what it is he has done, and he will tell you all about his
training and certifications, as well as his 18 years of sobriety. He
will try and encourage you in all that you do. He will be enthusiastic
and friendly. He might warn you that society is an immoral place. He will become your best friend if he feels you are trust worthy.
Ask Mike Stratton, "What.........really, I must ask.........WHAT HAVE YOU
DONE??? His response will become somber and dry, and the silence will
deafen the very ground he stands upon. Suddenly he will have a hard time
looking you in the eyes, and will talk carefully about the weather and
abruptly walk away, then telling everyone how terrible YOU are.
Who is he, Really? (As seen by Some Family Members, Friends, Neighbors -
in Mike Stratton's opinion)
His family, friends and neighbors, share this "somber and dry
silence" with Mike Stratton, as all that have gotten to know him
on a personal level, know him to be one of the sickest
individuals that walks the face of
this earth. His mental illness has driven him to make hasty and
irrational decisions, forever pointing the finger at someone else,
although he does take partial blame on occasion. His inability to be able
to separate reality from fiction, makes it so that he lives in a world
that is of another dimension. If only people could understand him,
and relate to him on a human level, his world would be a reality based
Utopia. His initial perception of people is often correct. This
ability to easily separate "good" from "evil" comes from a man that
lives in the reality and fantasy of both good and evil every day of his life.
What
is his Future? (As Seen by Mike Stratton)
He will continue to fight every and any battle that might pose a threat
to his ability to succeed. The future of a man with a mental illness is bleak at the
very least. However, he will not quit, no matter who or what says it
is not possible. Society sees him as a menace and a nuisance and many
have desired that he would simply just "disappear". Eventually his
mental illness will completely over take him, and those that are around
him will be able to see this. However, he will only know his own beliefs to be true.
He is doomed to being and living the life of that of
a label, as society has defined him to be nothing more then insane.
Plan
Of Action
Insane or Normal, Good or Evil, Mike Stratton has a plan. Believe it or
not this plan has nothing to do with him and everything to do with
society becoming a better place.
- Find a way to give to society, when his mental illness
has caused him to take so much.
- Encourage others to give as well, even though they have
no clue that they have taken.
- Use his Insanity as a way to allow him business
creativity. Even his only success is the ability to
give back a tiny bit to society, he is still successful.
- Hope and pray that this idea of "giving" spreads,
dispelling the idea of "It's all about
me".
- Become successful on a world-wide level. Continue to
help others, such as that school in Kenya, a homeless
shelter in Chicago, among many, many others.

If
you take a look at this from the perspective of how this
will affect his mental health, it will cause him to become
increasingly and increasingly more symptomatic. He will not
have the ability to even see that his mental health is
deteriorating. He will become more self - demanding, and
increasingly difficult to function on a day to day
level. The pure nature of his mental disease will cause his
drive to become stronger and stronger as he becomes
increasingly symptomatic, driven by the delusion that he is
a "business man". He takes on this persona and
will have a total denial that he is mentally ill. The fact
that he has had some success will further this delusional
and dangerous obsession. He will even be perceived as being
rational and quite level headed by those that work with him.
He will learn automatic responses to questions and stress,
but deep inside lies the true sickness, that can not and
will not be seen by anyone but his own inner rational. This
rational is based on the idea that he is a business man, and
not a severely mentally ill and handicapped individual. The
very symptoms that affect his ability to perceive reality
from delusions, will be redistributed into this dangerous
obsession, which in turn will make him an increasing danger
to all that encompass him in his daily life, yet he will
only show success. We need to monitor him substantially, and
intervene quickly if he shows any sign of dangerous
symptoms. It really would be best if we could find a way to
stop his grandiose delusional thinking that he has about
work and his life and just lock him away, permanently.
